Where and how to get Vista
Here is one site that clean and favorable, highly respected in the Beta community and major source of information, the site has either strong Microsoft connections or indeed has an espionage network equaled only by the CIA. Joking apart it is a cracking site for information and know how, has a large membership base who utlise its forums frequently making it an attractive source of opinion. The Site Now there are a couple of ways you can get the required beta releases from this site, neither of which are directly, They have a new java based chat page based very much on the mIRC client and indeed these are the ways to obtain the release software releases you want, now the only trouble with using their own IRC from the site I have never managed to use it to download I have not tried much only a couple of times and have never gone into the forums to find out how. Why not you may ask? , well I have continued to use the method I have always or since I knew about it.

Step 1As expected step is easy all you have to do is download and install the client download HERE
Step 2Not quite as easy but not hard either. At first opening remember to allow past your firewall your presented with
Here you must enter your name, a valid email, a nickname, and an alternative
You must here in the connections/options/advanced tag check the DCC box and make sure you have a similar port range as this.
In the DCC/ignore tab it must look like this choose disabled from drop-down menu and unchecked Turn back on in ?? Min's, if you don't you wont get any files. Thats about it your ready to go Step 3type in the bottom /server irc.winbeta.org To register your nickname on the server, type: /nickserv register PASSWORD EMAIL this should be the same as you put in at beginning of step 2, you only need to do this the first time all you need to from now on assuming you vist now and then is type is /nickserv identify PASSWORD and you connect. next we have to join winbeta session so we type /join #winbeta still nothing to download but you must be in a winbeta session to join winbeta-ads type /join #winbeta-ads
Here you can wait for the bots to advertise the files they have on offer or you can ask, some say wait until I advertise some will tell you. to ask type /msg WB-XDCC-USA-337 xdcc list change the bot location and number to one you wish to ask. if you see a file you want type /msg WB-XDCC-USA-337 xdcc send #2 again changing above to correspond with bot and file number, they will either queue you depending on demand or just send it. There you go easy as pie and all the beta's you want if you use a router the check out Port Forward as well Need anymore info or have problems or even if I screwed up tell me below
