XP SP3 or Vista SP1 or WHAT ?

We here at wannabegeek.org are very much mere minions when it comes to the world of Microsoft, We try bring you what we think are relevant stories and interesting lead's in to the Windows platform.

But we are perplexed ?? waht is going on here?? why are there so many conflicting stories of what is happening to XP and Vista,

If we take a step back and look,

Point 1.  Windows Vista should be at the fore front of Microsofts game plan. So why all the smoke screens ?

Point 2.  Windows XP should not be at the fore front of Microsoft's game plan, so why does it appear to be so?

Point 3.  Do Microsoft really think they can bully people into liking Vista.

Point 4. Why is a post like this neccessary ?, what is realy happening here;

We have stories from leading sites  sotpedia,news, that tell of XP3 trying to be hidden and others that say  that its' only a Update roll up release. 

We have our previous post here with the very sad demise of autopatcher, and posts of the unsuccessful  WGA program with Vista. It seems our very powerful provider is smarting. well good for you.

 I really doubt this is anything more than M$ trying to mke good a cock up or two whilst throwing in a bit of face saving rather than admit the fact that Vista really was a year early.

I dont really doubt that all the confusion comes from an ill informed media, but that blame also can be laid at the door of M$ because I beleiev the dont always tell the whole truth.
