IE9 Leading Modern Browser on Windows 7 Worldwide

Microsoft is in need of some good news for software devices other than Windows 7. Well, it has gotten it. IE9 has grown over the last 9 months, so much that it out ranks Chrome and Firefox.

The big thing about browsers is how much they enhance user Internet experience. So consider a group of questions that must be on every users mind when they access a browser.

Is the browser fast or slow? Is it easy to work with or hard? Does it have easy customizable features or are they hard and tricky to implement?

Negative answers to these questions have a tendency of keeping users out of reach. And users tend to talk to other users about their experience. So the numbers speak for themselves. More users, happier users. Less users, unhappier users.

The IE8 legacy

Unlike other manufacturing companies, the software legacy is always following a new Microsoft product.  (Actually, it follows any software company.) It can’t be helped. Windows 7 has initially condemned by users because they were expecting Vista 2.0. That didn’t happen.

For Internet Explorer, users may have been expecting IE8 2.0 as well, but that didn’t happen. IE9 brought new dynamics to browser operations.

Last month IE9 was on a path to be the number one modern browser on Windows 7 and that was a worldwide stat.  According to Net Applications, IE9 usage share on Windows 7 worldwide is now higher than all versions of Chrome and all versions of Firefox – second only to IE8. That does mean that there are more happy users than unhappy ones.

So for developers, they can benefit from the sophistication of the application and use it to enhance their own. Again this will ultimately mean more happy users. For Microsoft it is Win-Win.
